The one time I find it hard to rush is when you're with AI for other survivors, definitely have to wait up for them or you'll be out on your own getting attacked.
And on a similar note, I remember an old quote (maybe Jackie Stewart?) saying that most racers focus on applying the brakes, but the really important thing is how and when you release the brake pedal on corner entry. If anyone knows the exact quote that would be cool :P But something like that.
How's everyone enjoying the full game? So far so good here. Favourite weapon is the combat shotgun, and my favourite campaign so far is the Carnival. Reminds me a lot of Zombieland movie
Really? My Mum has been driving for 35 years, never had a car accident, not even a minor one. I've been driving for 11 years myself, same thing, not even a minor car accident. It's not inevitable.
As long as Saw movies keep making a profit, they will keep making them. Obviously it's just a money grab, but it seems to be working, even though they are crap.
That's encouraging... because if it drives anything like GT5P I'll shoot myself. I think GT5P was just a 'oh look at the lovely graphics we can do' game, or at least I hope so :P
I agree Resident Evil was a good scary one to play in the dark I will have to try FEAR or FEAR 2, if they are scary too
I just preordered L4D2 and spent a couple of hours on the demo tonight with a couple of friends on co-op mode. They both play L4D, but I hadn't done before, so it was nice to join them, it was a good laugh. Looking forward to the full game.
I would say based on my experience after spending a week lapping at the Ring a couple of years ago, that GT4's ring has more accurate corner radii than FM2's, which feels straightened out in places, you don't have to slow as much for a lot of the corners. GT4 kept me coming back for more laps at the 'Ring, whereas FM2 didn't. I also felt that lots of laps on GT4 'Ring helped me a certain amount in figuring out where to go when I got there, and getting a rough idea of line in some places, whereas FM didn't really do the same for me. FM definitely has a pretty good 'Ring though, it's way way better than PGR for example hahaha
But in GT4, if it didn't have the 'Ring, I would have been bored of it REALLY quickly, whereas if FM2 didn't have it, it would still hold my interest today. I still enjoy it a lot when I go and play it at my brother's place. If I could have only one, it would be FM for sure.
Who cares what Dustin is saying, he's just bored and trolling again... don't take him too seriously.
Hahaha, yeah I played PGR's ring, WOW. Definitely GT have the best ring but you're right GT4 graphics are still previous generation console so yeah, and FM2 was way better in the physics as well.... They did so well have FM2 out for so long on the current gen console while GT have inexplicably had nothing all this time.
Haha, I don't find him or you annoying at all, I just see how frustrating it is when you can't get someone to see it from your point of view, and think "why bother"?
And as this is the post a pic of your car thread, here's one of the day I bought my car in 2001 I've moved house 4 times since then but never changed my car. It had 90,000km then and now it has 260,000! But nothing has broken
That's it, you tell him :P Why does it really matter if some random guy on a discussion forum doesn't understand? Why not just let it be, and accept that he doesn't see it in the same way as you?
Makes me wish I still had an xbox! HDR effect looks overdone as has been mentioned, but other than that looks nice. I played the demo and didn't find it that inspiring in the physics department (although still a lot better than GT5P!), but it sounds like the full version has improved things. I think I will have to get my brother to buy it so I can play when I'm round at his place!
Does it look like the Nurburgring has been remodelled for FM3? I remember it being rather inaccurate in 2, with the GT4 'Ring being quite a lot better. In FM2 the corners all felt smoothed out and a lot of the radii were increased, meaning you didn't really need to slow down for certain sections as much as in real life.
Edit: Had a look at a couple of youtube videos and it looks pretty similar. I'd imagine GT will still be my 'Ring lapping game of choice, just will be a shame if the cars in GT5 don't feel as good as those in FM3, which will probably be the case unless they really have improved things a LOT since GT5P.
Yeah, I saw the new wheels and tires, good stuff. Glad you're getting the alignment looked at soon though, or at least one of your new tires won't be looking too new for too long
As has been said many times before, the devs do not owe us anything, they do not owe us a patch at any particular time. We have paid for the content we have now, and if we happen to get extra content (for free, by the way) then that's great. What a waste of time waiting for something. Just use what you have now and enjoy it, and if/when something new comes along, then enjoy that. The devs work on their own agenda and it's up to them how they work and release patches. If you don't like it, go and play something else that doesn't give you any updates whatsoever.
To the OP, yes you struggled, but it didn't help that you were on such a tight pad at such a low speed. When going in such a tight circle, you are going to need to use a lot of steering input very quickly. It would be easier on a bigger circle at a bigger speed. That car also looks to have steering with a lot of turns lock to lock, and probably not the greatest steering feel ever, which would make it harder still Try it with a miata with a limited slip diff on a larger pad and I think you'd get on a lot better.
Obviously has never heard of looking both ways before crossing the road. Yes, I know he had right of way given the traffic was stopped, but being in the right wouldn't have made much difference if he'd been killed :P
As for lucky or unlucky, I would say lucky... he ran out into the road without looking, at just about the worst possible time, and he survived. It wasn't bad luck that he nearly got killed by that bus, it was poor judgement (of not looking to see if everyone was stopped/stopping).
My tattoo on my calf was fine, just felt like being scratched. Very simple design though so it only took 15 or 20 minutes And as for the location... visible when I'm wearing shorts and covered up when wearing jeans, works for me. For me it's not all about showing it off to others 24-7 so I don't mind it being covered up some of the time. It's not to make a statement about how cool I am so I don't need the reassurance of people seeing it and commenting on it all the time.
